How’s your life going? Are you feeling like a crab in a basket?
Have you ever watched crabs in a basket? There they are just piled on top of one another. Some just lay there doing absolutely nothing. They just submit to their capture. Some move around aimlessly with no particular purpose to their movement. Just busy, busy, busy accomplishing absolutely nothing. Some will fight and challenge each other while exhibiting heightened emotions. What could they possibly be fighting about? They can’t really hurt each other, both having extremely hardened shells. They just bulk up against each other like their saying, “Keep your distance! I’m afraid of you because I’m stuck in the same bucket with you. I don’t know what else to do so I’ll just entertain myself with trying to intimidate and snap at you.” These crabs are soaked in fear and take it out on the others. Some crabs will try to climb out of the basket. They want Freedom. Some crabs will grab ahold of the ones trying to escape and actually pull them back into the basket. These crabs can’t escape themselves and they actually hold back the crabs that are motivated to escape to Freedom. Some crabs will elude the ones trying to stop them and actually escape the basket. Fuck resistance. These crabs are Freedom Lovers. There might be one that will actually sacrifice and detach a limb to escape the grip of the crab trying to keep him/her down in the basket. Good thing crabs can heal and regrow the limb. *Humans can heal the same way. We may not sacrifice a limb or be able to regrow one, but we can heal and regrow parts of ourselves that we have lost along the way towards Freedom. Some crabs will escape the basket, but then lay next to the basket only to get picked back up and placed back in the basket. Sorry crab, you should have run farther away. Again, fear, resistance, regret, and self-doubt kept this crab from moving away from the prison. Some crabs will sacrifice a limb, escape the basket, and run like hell towards freedom. They will usually make it back to the water avoiding recapture. I have a question… Why don’t they all work together to try to escape to freedom? Which crab are you right now? Which crab do you want to be? Might you be feeling stuck in the basket of your life? Trapped? There’s a way out of the basket. But of course we all have people, problems, “responsibilities”, and otherwise perceived blockades that stop us, fight us, or hold us back from escaping to a different, yes, but a liberated, natural world. Could you be the crab that actually sacrifices for their own escape to freedom? Do you know what waits at the end of every crab’s journey whether they are in the basket or not? Death. The difference is the time between the current moment of capture (the right now!) and the time of death. The difference is life. The ones fighting each other aimlessly will die. So will the ones that lay there doing nothing. Why don’t they at least try? The ones holding the other ones back are definitely not going to make it long. Even the ones that escape, run like hell back to the water, and live out the rest of their lives in the open ocean will eventually die. The difference is life. The difference is the appreciation and gratitude for living. Are you a crab in a basket? Which one are you? I’ve got a new one for you. If I may, I’ll create another example of the crab in the basket. I want this crab to be the game changer. I want to be the crab that fights like hell to get out of the basket. I want to be the one that sacrifices “limbs”, if necessary, to escape. I will be the crab that runs like hell towards the freedom of the open ocean. However, I want to be the crab that turns around to see if anyone else would actually like help out of the basket. Crabs won’t do that. They are very mechanical in their existence. They would even consider turning around to consider the others that are stuck. But I would. I will not risk my escape. I will not risk the ensnarement of other envious crabs. I will take a moment to turn around and offer a hand up to the others with that, “Please, help me,” look in their eyes. I’m the crab that says, “You are not alone. You’re not stuck, but you better want it too because I’m out of here!” Remember, the ones that make it out of the basket stop at nothing to escape to freedom. No fear. They don’t tarry. They don’t procrastinate. They don’t give in to resistance and stay close to the basket (the prison that represents living an unfulfilled life). They don’t go a thousand different directions before actually moving back towards the water. It’s a straight-line, all-out run for their life back to the arms of freedom, Mother Ocean. Which crab are you right now? What crab do you want to be? You are not alone.

Good morning, afternoon, evening beautiful people!
Are you ready to be motivated? Are you ready to be better? Healthier? Stronger? Are you ready to be stronger mentally, physically, emotionally, spiritually? Any athletes out there? Do you want to be stronger, faster, more skilled? Any businesspeople out there? Ready to become better at running your business? Anybody got goals out there? Are you ready to see them achieved already? Excellent! My name is Greg White Jr. I am going to do that for you right now. But I am going to teach you how to do it for yourselves moving forward. Teach a wo/man to fish, right? There is one person that will read this that I am looking for. It could be you. It could be anyone. But I am just looking for one. I’ll tell you why at the end of this chat. Just a warning, this might make you uncomfortable, but let's dive in. It's life changing time! You are limited by your definition of yourself. One factor that often limits human beings is our obsession with labeling things. We have to slap a label on everything. It’s logical for sure. This is this and that is that. How do we know what is without the labels? If we don’t know how to label something, simply good or bad with suffice. Either way, it’s got to have a label. Let’s see how we can do that and what it can do for us right now. Please grab a paper and pen and write down the answer to these questions. Who are you? What’s your name? What do you do? Family? Pets? Hobbies? Skills? Talents? Bad habits? Something in your life you’re most proud of? Something in your life you're NOT proud of? What do most people not know about you? Self-descriptors are labels too. (happy, sad, fat, skinny, funny, angry, witty, stupid) Write at least 3 down. Alright, excellent! Now what if I told you that you are not really any of these things? Let’s see. What can we take away from this description? If I took away all of these things you wrote, would you still be standing here? Or, would you disappear? So, without this definition, who are you? Anyone ever ask themselves that question? Without my name, who am I? Without my descriptors, who am I? Without my abilities, skills, etc., who am I? Perhaps some people would answer, well, I am nobody then. But that can't be true because you would still exist physically. So you would stripped of all your labels, but you would still be you. Blank slate. Everything is possible. Who am I? Really? ** Exercise (take 5 minutes to think about this): What if I wiped your memory completely clean and you couldn't even remember your name. What if you woke up one day and had to relearn life? What would you do? If someone was reintroducing you to life and telling you what you did before, what would you say, "Why would I ever do that?" What about existence would fascinate you? What would you absolutely want to remember? List 5 things that you absolutely would not want to forget if this were to happen? ** Who. Am. I? The question of your life. The question of your awakening. The awakening of your true human performance. Those 5 things you said you would absolutely want to remember. In there may lie your gift, purpose, or superpower. To reach true human potential in performance, we must learn to abandon the labels. We must shed the mask that each of these labels require. We must learn to stopping doing what is expected by the labels we place on ourselves and others place on us. We must simply learn to be; to be human be-ings, not human doings. Who am I? What am I doing here? Why am I here? Where did I come from? Where am I going? It’s my personal belief that you are sovereign, limitless children of the Earth Mother. Created in the image of God and endowed with the birthright of God’s creative limitlessness. You do not need to hold my beliefs to live an empowered life. However, you will need to cultivate a higher belief system in yourself. Here is how you do it. I Am redefined. What could you be if you weren’t this definition? Where have you never been that you would like to go? Would you travel the world? Could you if you wanted to? Is there anything you’ve done in your life that could be considered a mistake? Is there anything you’ve done in your life that didn’t make it on the original list? Are you rich? Could you be if you wanted to be? What in your life have you never done that you really want to do? Could you do it? What’s your biggest goal right now? Can you do it? Is there anything that you can’t do if you were to put your full mind, heart, and energy behind it? Who’s with me? Does anyone NOT believe that they can be whatever they want? Do whatever they want? If so, I have questions. Have you ever tried? Let me ask you this, is there anything in your life that you really wanted to do that you didn’t accomplish? Why? If it’s failure that stopped you, then I don’t think you really wanted it in the first place. Or maybe you just held a belief in your limitation. I say ‘your’ limitation because we are able to have and hold limitations as humans. They are not real, but we perceive them as real and we, in a very real way, get to keep our limitations that we place on ourselves. We may live limited lives. That's allowed. Much like a label, nobody will ever take them from you. You get to keep them as long as you want to keep them. But you can also throw them away. I want to be limitless. I want to have superpowers just like a superhero. Do you? If so, you might be the person I'm looking for. Perfect. Limitless. Human Being. Changing Your Mind How many people out there are on a diet or exercise plan? Do you do anything special? Special routines? Tips and tricks for the rest of us? Why do you diet/exercise? What if I told you that some of these are shitty reasons to diet/exercise? Uh oh, yikes! We do not diet, exercise, meditate, pray, be nice to people, and otherwise live to keep away the boogie man. We don’t exercise and eat to avoid being fat, stressed, diseased or to ward off death. We eat to fuel our thoughts, hopes, dreams, and accomplish our goals. We eat to have high energy to be good people to other people. We exercise to honor our bodies ability to be energetic, creative beings and to keep energy flowing. We eat, exercise, and rest to increase our power to experience the best life while we are still walking around on this planet. We live healthy lives to honor and uplift our gifts, talents, and limitless abilities. Living a full life doesn't mean the complete absence of fear, etc. It means that your life is full of love for your being that is doing or experiencing this life. (side note: if you are always wearing shoes during your day, stop that now. Make sure that from today forward you maximize the amount of time your bare feet touch the earth. Research the subject of 'grounding' and its health benefits.) That's why I now abstain from things like alcohol. I need an abundance of very high energy to make my dreams come to reality. I need superhuman energy to be superhuman. This word, superhuman, should in reality just be called human. I'm happy to be the example because my growth in all areas of my life is going tremendously well. Intuitive Eating to Intuitive Living Energy is everywhere and in everything. We are energy. Energy is infinite and recycles all the time. We eat, we play, we eat again, we work, and on and on. Always absorbing, reconfiguring and emitting energy. Repeat after me: I am what I eat. What my food eats, I am that too. I am what energy I absorb (food, water, air, things that touch my skin, people I’m around, places I go). I am what changes energy into thought, speech, and action. I am the creator of the energy I emit. My energy creates my experience in life. The things that you eat, the environment that you are in, the people you surround yourself with, and your typical life behaviors all provide energy for you to use how you choose. If your energy is shit, well... I will tell you it’s hard on the body to change energy. It can be done, but it’s not easy. Example: Think about sitting in traffic. It’s been a long day and your energy is low. You just want to get home, get comfortable, eat food, and be in your own space. Suddenly, someone cuts you off. How do you react? What’s the easiest way to react? What’s the hardest way to react to that person? See what I mean? Energy is hard to change. It can be stressful on the body and mind. You can take in, change, and emit any energy you want. But it’s your responsibility. Your life is your creation and it’s only your responsibility how you create with the energy that you are provided. This is intuitive eating/living. Owning and trusting ourselves with the responsibility of our energy. How do we change our energy? How do we change the energy around us? How do we change the energy of what we consume? Love and gratitude. We can’t just simply think love and gratitude. We must feel it in our hearts and emit that energy from there. Wait a minute. You might be thinking, "How do I love and show gratitude when I don't like things in my life?" Great question. Exercise #2: The next time you are in a situation you don't like or that makes you unhappy, close your eyes and start saying out loud what you are thankful for in the moment. Watch your reality change before your eyes. It works! If we can think more in terms of energy in/out, we can consume, think, speak, and act more intuitively and with purpose. This is a big-time life changer. I Am My Heart I am here to tell you that the desires of your heart can be your reality. Even the secret ones. I am a fortune teller. I am here to tell you that someone reading this today is going to have the most benevolent, life-changing situation occur very soon. Someone is going to activate their heart energy and watch a miracle happen. When it happens, be sure to reach out and tell me your story. I am here to tell you that you can do or be whatever you want. You can have or experience whatever you want in life. Science is telling us now that our heart has more power than our brain. We all have that type of magic in us. Magic and science are the same exact thing according to my beliefs. I'm going to teach you how to make things happen quickly in your future. This works for me. It will work for you too. Exercise #3: I want you to do something for me. Close your eyes. Place both hands over your heart. We are going to do a breathing practice for a few minutes: Deep breath into your belly, hold for a second or two, breath out slowly, hold a second or two, repeat. While we are breathing, I want you to think about how you want your life to look. Don’t think about someone else’s things, body or someone else’s accomplishments. Think about you. Picture standing in front of yourself for a second. Can you see you? Sit with yourself for a second. Just look at you. Look at your face. Look at your hands and feet. What are you wearing? Look into your eyes. How do you feel? Ask yourself. How do you feel? Take a second to honor how you’re feeling right now. You are looking at the closest friend you got. This friend, you, is your best friend. He or she never leaves you. How do you feel about the way you’ve been treating your best friend? Give yourself a great big, warm, everything is going to be alright type of hug. Now if you can, think about a much younger version of yourself standing in front of you now. Can you see your younger self? Can you see your face? Can you see your hands? Look into your eyes. Say thank you to yourself for getting you to where you are today. Your still alive and breathing. So no matter what happened, that version of you saw you through to today. Say thank you from your heart. Now say, I love you. Come back to your current self. Can you see your face? Can you see your hands? Look into your eyes. Say, I’m sorry for anything bad I’ve ever done to you. I’m sorry if I ever held you back. I’m sorry that I let labels get in the way of taking care of you. Look into your eyes deeper. Say, I forgive you. Give yourself another hug and say thank you. Say I love you. I want you to think about something before you let yourself go. Think about something you want to send yourself off to accomplish for you. This will be your future self. What do you want that human being to accomplish? Can you see it? You’re about to send yourself off to accomplish that thing. This is a proud moment. Like sending a child off to their first day of school. This is a monumental day! Can you see yourself accomplishing that thing? How do you feel? Look into your eyes. How do you feel? Tell the future you thank you for accomplishing that for you. Tell yourself, I love you for doing that for me. Open your eyes. Take a deep breathe. Before we started, I said that there is one person that I was looking for. That person is you. You are the person who is going to start changing the world right now. You are the person who is about to release their earth-shaking energy and live the fullest life. I am here looking for you, the real you. Here’s why… I need you to be who you were born to be. The earth needs you to be who you were born to be. The world and our society need your energy, gifts and talents. We need them right now. The time is right now. We can’t wait any longer. The time is now. Will you accept the call? Will you step into your birthright and be a limitless human being? You don’t even have to do anything heroic or all that special. You just need to start embracing who you truly are. Abandon the labels. They aren't serving you well. Are you willing to do that for me? I need you. Your family needs you. Your friends need you. Your community needs you. The world needs you to be who you were born to be. You are not alone. I am Greg White Jr. This is Poseidon Healing and I am grateful to you for reading this. Thank you! I used to really believe that I had to think a certain way, act a certain way, do certain things, or speak a certain way. I had to define myself. I had to be somebody. Otherwise, I would be a nobody. Who wants to be a nobody? My solution to not be a nobody was to create myself. What do I like? What do I not like? Let’s start there. I’m a social person. If I do this, I attract these types of people. If I do that, I attract another sort. I like nature. I like the country. I like country music. I like country people. How do country people act? Let’s be that. Get the clothes, get the accent, and adopt the lifestyle. Put on the mask of country boy! I got accepted. The problem came when I started to adopt everything including thoughts, words, stories, beliefs, and actions. I didn’t know it, but I started to draw lines. Then the lines were fully there. I am a country boy. I am not all those other things. I’ve always been a kind person. I never wanted to see people hurting. I prayed for the ambulance, police car, or firetruck I saw screaming down the road. I wanted whoever, wherever or whatever they were going to save to be ok. I like all types of people accept bullies because mine were mean. I liked being rough like any other boy, but I did not like to fight, but I did have a lot of fight in me. I believed in Jesus, but not like the others. I believed in him like you believe in a friend. Not because I was told to do it, but because he was always there. Like a breeze that caresses your skin on a hot day. I couldn’t see it, but I could feel it. Eventually, I thought I had to be somebody, so somebody I became. No matter what I chose to be, I always embraced the title and definition that came with it to the maximum and sometimes, I even put away my feelings to do it. Maybe I didn’t want to do a certain thing at a certain time or think a certain way that others were thinking at that time. But I was a somebody and everybody else was doing, saying, and thinking those things so I better get on board or I might not fit in. That was not acceptable. I had to be somebody even if it meant sacrificing my goodness to do it. Wearing masks was fun as a kid. Pretending to be someone or something else was creative, fun, and encouraged my creativity. I’ve always had a healthy imagination, so I was very good at taking on the character of whatever mask I put on as a child. I would learn about the character from my parents, schoolmates, or TV so I would know exactly what I had to do while wearing the mask. I didn’t know I was learning how to act. I didn’t put away the masks as an adult either. I simply chose other masks. I could always “fit in” with whatever situation I was in as an adult. I guess I could say that I adapted quickly to my surroundings and would adjust my thoughts, words, and actions to suit the environment. I could be in any place, with just about anyone, and fit myself into the mask I needed to wear to be accepted. Being a nobody was unacceptable, so this was my way of ensuring that I was always a somebody. I loved being the center of attention and would earn this if I could, but as long as I was accepted, that’s really all that mattered. I could sing, dance, love, tell jokes, drink, gossip, act stupid, perform daring stunts, pull pranks, tell stories, and lie my ass off to gain the favor of the room. I had a closet full of masks that served me very well in younger days. Or so I thought. The thing about wearing my masks is that I always had to take them off at some point. Usually, when nobody else was around, I could take my mask off. I’d be home alone or out riding solo and I didn’t have to wear a mask. I always had them close by just in case, but I could just be me for a second. Problem was, I didn’t know who that was supposed to be. I relied so heavily on my masks that not having one on became absolute chaos. I started to wear them even when I was alone. I always had to be somebody otherwise I was nobody… nothing… I didn’t exist. The fear of not existing led me down some dangerous roads. The chaos that ensued when I didn’t have a mask to wear was poisonous. The remedy for my chaos was alcohol. It numbed my mind, so I didn’t think. It numbed my mind, so I didn’t care. The problem came when it numbed my mind to the point that I didn’t know which mask I had on. As I got older, I got a little more serious about life as it pertains to job, relationships, and responsibilities. But I never abandoned my masks. I’ve lived in a dozen different places and I always packed my masks first when I moved. I picked up the title of sailor, husband, and father eventually and learned how to wear those masks. I picked up the title of suburban neighbor, country music entertainer, and gardener. I learned how to wear those masks too. Wearing masks is exhausting. Trying to define myself was more exhausting. Stewing all that exhaustion in alcohol was most exhausting. I was a shit-storm tornado on a daily basis. If my current mask did not allow me to outwardly express “shit-storm tornado,” I would hold it all in. Problem is, all that would come out at the wrong, most inconvenient time. I would wake up figuratively covered in shit. Everything around me and everyone around me was covered in shit too. Shame, guilt, and, many times, the question, “What the | front door | happened?” I couldn’t keep up with it. Too many masks. I could see the frustration building in the people around me. “I don’t even know who you are anymore.” They would say. When I heard that question enough times, eventually it got through. No matter where I went or who I was around, the same problems kept following me around. I don’t know who else is like me, but when I started to become afraid of certain events in my future because I knew it was likely to become a problem, I knew there was a change that needed to happen. But I refused. I clung to the definition I had adopted with all my strength (which had drained significantly). Something had to give, and it finally did. To put it mildly, it was inconvenient. To put it truthfully, it very well could have either taken my life or put me behind bars for a very long time. Wake up call. At the time, I didn’t know how, and I didn’t know why I survived that night. I had very little recollection of what had happened besides standing on the road surrounded by 7 well-uniformed men and women in the middle of the night. No mask was going to get me out of this one. I was royally | front-doored |. Those officers were probably the first people to see the real me in a long time. “Who am I?” After that night, the question burned in my head. How did I survive? How am I still here? Why? How did I not go to jail? What the | front door | am I supposed to do now? A very sobering moment occurred. I have absolutely no idea. No way to possibly explain that night. I don’t know. “Who am I?” When I really started pondering that question, it started me on a journey. I was like a brand-new baby opening my eyes for the first time ever. The world was different, but I didn’t know how. I knew I was still alive (at least it felt like I was), but I knew it was different. I was different. The world is a scary place when you don’t know who you are. Without my masks, I had to discover the real me. Without the alcohol, I had to make peace of all the chaos inside of me. “Who am I?” The question would shake me to my core. I had fits of depression, anger, sadness, and anxiety. “Why did I survive?” My definition didn’t serve me. I needed a new one. Or did I? Why do I need a definition? A definition required a mask. That’s not going to work. I should be dead or rotting in a cell. My masks got me there. I’m not doing that again. “Why am I still here?” Do you know what I came up with? Just to be. I’m just here to be me. I don’t need to do anything. I don’t need to be anyone. I don’t need to think or have an opinion. I don’t need to say anything. I can just be. I felt the wind on my face. I saw the trees differently and appreciated their dance. I loved the warmth of the sun. I hugged my wife and held her tighter. I saw my children playing and I smiled. I may not know who I am, but this feels pretty good. I love to tell you that life got easier from that point and happily ever after. But that would be bullshit. I have learned how to live without my masks and without a definition, but it took until now to figure out that I can. Life is a journey. The road to really living is very narrow and difficult. I’d like to say it’s easier to join the crowd and put on the masks. But it’s not. I’d like to say that it’s easier to define yourself in this world and live by that definition. But it’s not. It’s not easy to have to maintain the idea that I have to be somebody. Why would I want to define myself and confine myself to that definition? Then I always have to live up to the expectations of that definition. I have to set lines and live within the lines of that definition. I have to judge whether or not some other person, place, or thing fits into my definition. I have to live with boundaries. Children don’t have boundaries. They don’t see them. They see a wide-open world that is theirs to explore and just “be” in. Children are fearless until they are instilled with fear. They look at the world in awe and wonder, fascinated by everyone and everything they meet. No boundaries. No defintions. No masks. Children are not always positive. They are emotional beings after all. They experience and express all of their emotions freely with purity and integrity. But they don’t dwell on them or over analyze them. They just are what they are at the time they want to be that. Children do not change until they learn from the world that they have to be somebody. That’s where the journey of self-discovery begins. Some of them will figure it out. Some of them will not. Some will adopt masks. Some will not. Some of us will realize that we have overcomplicated everything. We will wake up to the fact that we are caught in the shit-storm tornado of chaos that is destroying the world – our world. Some of us will abandon the masks and make the hard | front door-ing | decision that REAL LIFE is not supposed to be experienced with masks, definitions, expectations, and judgements. The way I see it, many of us “adults” live in hell. There is no regard for the natural way of life. We take, take, take, survive, survive, survive, and me, me, me, ourselves into a vicious cycle of death before we die. Lines are drawn, battles are fought, wars ensue, and more death is the result. The definitions we hold ourselves to confine us to a box. We have to fit the mold of our box or we fear we are nobody, nothing, and lack existence here. Our fear of nonexistence is killing us every day because we don’t even know how to exist without the addiction that we have to the fear hormone. We judge, persecute, torture, destroy, take without gratitude, set false expectations, and live without the slightest understanding of the power of Love. We live death. Every. Single. Waking. Moment. Is. Hell. Children don’t do any of that. Every day is exciting. Everything is exciting. No expectations. Radical acceptance of freedom without bounds. Radical love without conditions. Easy come, easy go. No chains. No baggage. No masks. Why do adults think they can raise children? It’s time to wake up. I now know why I survived. I now know why I am still here. I am her to be the sounding bell for those willing to listen. I am here to be the shining light on the mountain for those willing to see. I want to experience the world like a new child again. Ever see a child set free in nature to play? Look at how joyful they are! We’re fucked no matter what we do if we continue to resist the call to change. News flash, nobody makes it out of here alive. Politics won’t save you. Religion won’t save you. Your definition and your masks definitely will not save you from dying one day. I guarantee they will keep you in an existence void of true meaning and purpose. Will you resist the call to rediscover your true nature? Happy. Balanced. Whole. Creative. What you do… matters. Who you really are… matters. Not your definitions. Not your masks. You. Just You. The real YOU. The natural, God-formed, human being. “Who am I?” Go Play! Discover. Adventure. Nature. Fearless. Find out. You are a child of Mother Earth. Not a child of the world. You are not alone. Matthew 19:14 Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” 10 Ways I Can Start Showing Love Now For A Better Life.Top 10 Ways I Can Show Love For A Better Life Now!
Love is an infinite source of power and energy available right here, right now. How well are you using this incredible power of Love in your daily life? There are so many definitions of Love, but I don’t like to define something like Love. Instead, I like to elevate the power of Love to a Goddess being. To me, she is the White Goddess of Love. As it is said, a God defined is a God confined to the definition. I deify Love because when I meet Her at Her level, I immediately feel more Love radiating through me and outwardly towards others. I do not confine Love to a definition, however, there are some power words that I believe are in the essence of Love. Here are a few: Love Strength Affection Personal Tenderness Admiration Respect Benevolence Assurance Warmth Enthusiasm Devotion Compassion Loyal Well-being Patience Humility Infinite Beautiful Care Kindness Creative Each one of these words holds power for my life. They are tools to use whenever and wherever I need to. I appreciate the phrase “Love conquers all.” However, I would change it slightly to, “Love rises above all.” Bad feelings are low vibratory energies (frequencies). Good feelings are high vibratory energies (frequencies). There are many scientific books that prove this truth and how it works in the human body. I will include some references at the end of the blog. In essence, Love raises my level of energy, consciousness, and awareness up to the highest levels. When we are in the power of Love, we feel invincible. If we remain in the power of Love, we are invincible. Below are 10 areas in life that require your Love. Feel free to read each one and apply the practice techniques to your life if applicable. Or you can bounce to the ones that will serve you most! 10. My Space I can use these aforementioned power words in writing or in speech to immediately uplift the amount of Love I feel in my space in any given moment. I can “fill my Love tank” if I will it just by saying these power words out loud to myself. Practice: I close my eyes, take a few deep breathes, bring my focus to my heart and speak whichever power words come to my mind. I allow the word a moment to echo through my whole body. It will clear my space of negativity. 9. My Community I can see how my interaction with my community directly reflects where I am in relation to Love. Am I feeling super judgmental? Am I cursing others while in traffic? Or am I feeling affectionate towards others with a helpful attitude and awareness? The latter occurs when I bring myself to the level of Love when I am out and about in my community. It has to be a moment-to-moment decision sometimes so being conscious in the moment is going to take some repetition and intention. For example: if I notice that I get negatively emotional while in traffic, I can write on an index card, “I will show Love to my community,” and tape it near the steering wheel. Practice: Before you leave the house, I will say, “I will look for ways to show Love while in my community.” Or I can pray, “I request the most benevolent outcome for showing Love while running my errands today.” I have seen how this immediately increases my awareness of patience and kindness regardless of anyone else’s actions. 8. Your Rest & Recovery In our GOGOGO society, it is hard sometimes to let myself off the hook and rest. Sometimes I feel like I don’t even know how to rest. I constantly feel bogged down by my to-do list and it always weighs on my mind. Rest assured, my rest and recovery is of paramount importance so I can give my all to everything else every day. Practice: When I have a lot on my mind, I write down everything that comes to mind on a piece of paper or journal. I get it written down and then I can let it go while I rest. My list will be there when I’m done resting. Next: I set myself up for rest. To help, I appeal to all of my senses (sight, smell, taste, touch, and sound) to encourage relaxation. Here are some things that I do: Sight: Dim the lights to your liking. The level should be that it does not stimulate your mind or stress your eyes. Smell: I use essential oils but choose a smell that brings you peace and relaxation. I’m a big fan of lavender, but everyone is quite unique. A candle might be a good option for both sight and smell. Taste: I do not eat anything that will stimulate my body or bother my system before I rest. This may take some trial and error, but with intention, you’ll know what helps you relax. It might be a cup of chamomile tea or it might be some warm milk. Brushing your teeth can leave you feeling refreshed and ready for rest. Record in a journal what works and what doesn’t work to help you feel relaxed. Touch: Clean sheets, cool pillow, comfortable laying position, and a warm blanket are all ways that you can set yourself up for a most benevolent rest. Make adjustments as needed. A good massage therapist is also excellent selfcare. If you have a partner, ask for a foot, head, or back rub. Don’t forget to reciprocate the favor! Sound: I use the app Better Sleep for my sound relaxation. There is a vast variety or noises, music, and brainwaves to create a mix of your favorite. You can also adjust levels of each soundtrack that you choose. I personally Love the morning rain, ocean waves, eternity music, and dreams brainwaves mix. If I’m meditating, I have a different mix for that situation. Get your rest! Love your recovery time! 7. Your Work This can be a tough one. Do you like what you do for work? For me, sometimes the answer has been, “Absolutely not.” When this happened to me in the Navy, it was incredibly difficult because there was no escaping my duties. Do not worry! First, if you don’t like what you do for a living you can always do some self-searching on what you might prefer to do. I asked myself, “What do I want to find purpose in doing?” There are many literary resources available to help with a transition in work or career. Of course, during the transition to something I Love doing for work, I must maintain internal peace. Practice: When I was experiencing lack of purpose in my work, I first decided that it didn’t matter what I was doing. I set my intention to do the best work possible. My purpose became to do the very best possible with any given task. I started to accomplish a level accomplishment and pride in every little thing I did. Suddenly, my mundane tasks became more important responsibilities, but regardless, I found purpose in everything. It was that simple. As I continued to apply this new practice of “doing my best,” I continued to find more fulfillment at the end of each day. This led me to accomplish some incredible things in my military career and professional life. I could take pride in my work. I found new Love for everything that I did because it was a new opportunity to do my best work. In doing this, I found my gifts because they began to shine more brightly with every accomplishment. 6. Your Home The most important work I will ever do will be inside the walls of my own home. The bedroom is a space for rest, relaxation and intimacy. The kitchen is a space for sustenance. The living room is a space for gathering and entertainment. The front door is a warm welcome to your safe space. The home is a mirror reflection of the condition of our lives. How does your space look? Practice: My home serves me and I serve my home. The more I serve my home, the better my home serves me. I will make a priority to reflect Love into my individual home spaces and show gratitude for the way that space serves me. I will set a schedule during the week to show Love in each space so that my home can better serve me with peace, comfort, relaxation, and enjoyment! 5. Food Food will be my medicine or medicine will be my food. I am what I eat. That food becomes a part of my body. What blocks am I using to build my house? Are they trash? Are they strong blocks for a strong house? I am what I eat. More than that, I am what I eat eats. Do I know where my food came from? Do I know the quality of the soil? Do I know what the farmers used to treat the plants and fruits? What chemicals could I be exposed to by eating this food? Do I know how my meat was raised before it was slaughtered for food? Was it humanely raised? What was it fed? Was the animal respected? How did it die? Are the food items that I consume helping me thrive? Do I consume my nutrition with Love and Gratitude? Practice: I simply bless my food with power words or prayer and express gratitude from my heart. I simply ask the food to bring healing and blessings to my body. I thank the animals for the gift of the meat. I thank the plants for the gifts of the food. Gratitude is a powerful transformation tool that I can use at any time to change the nature of anything from a negative to a positive. I try my best to buy small brand, organic, free-range, grass-fed, and local. I try my best to eat homecooked food. I try my best to not eat anything fast, cheap, and easy because I don’t want to be described that way. However, no matter what, I eat with gratitude. 4. Water We can go days without food, but without water, we would not make it so long. In addition, dehydration can cause an abundance of negative side effects in our bodies. Unfortunately, the water is polluted with chemicals in the process of treatment by the water treatment facilities. These chemicals I do not want in my body. I would highly recommend a whole house filtration system so that the sink, the shower, and the water hose all run with clean, chemical free water. At least, I believe that it is a necessity these days to at least have a reverse osmosis system on the kitchen sink for clean cooking and drinking water. Think about how water moves through a mountain spring. It’s naturally cleaned by deep aquifers, flows freely, and is exposed to clean air. It is oxygenated by the free movement, caressed by the rocks and minerals, and nurtured by the sun. This is living water. Living water is the best water to drink for ultimate hydration. Bottled water and tap water do not have the same life as a mountain spring. Matter of fact, these water sources can even be dangerous to our health. However, there is something we can do about it. Practice: I am a person who prays over my water. I also speak power words into the water. I focus on my heart and tell the water what I need and speak life into the water. Sure, it sounds a little hokey, but it works! There is even great science to prove it. Look up Dr. Masuro Emoto and his book the Hidden Secrets of Water. Otherwise, I can pick fresh herbs such as mint or lemon balm and put it in my water. I can also spin a pinch of sea salt and honey into my water and squeeze a fresh amount of fruit juice into the water (I recommend lemon, orange, pineapple or lime not in a container, but from the fruit itself). If I have the time, I can also prepare a pitcher of water with fresh cut strawberries, herbs, melons, and/or cucumber pieces mixed in the water. It’s delicious! The water will love it and will bless your health. Love on your water! After all, it is a vital part of being and staying alive. 3. Nature There is a lot we could unpack with this particular love topic! Mother Earth wants to love on us, and she wants to feel your affection too! I believe we are her children. Afterall, dust shall return to the dust from which it came, right? We are a part of her, and she is a part of us. It is unfortunate that some do not ever pay her any mind. Even worse, many completely disregard or even act abusively towards the health of our great Earth. This is something that we all need to change immediately and for our great benefit! It is terribly unfortunate that some of our media resources spread incredible fear of the outdoors and nature. Don’t fear the animals, the elements, and the plants. This is a shame! We need to shed the fear and reconnect in a big way to exchange love with our divinely created Mother Earth. With that reconnection, we can position ourselves in a power position to co-create with the Prime Creator (God) and Mother Earth. Seeing and interacting with nature releases a huge dose of feel-good hormones that are very beneficial to our body and mood. Go and actually hug a tree and then tell me how you feel after. If you pray, say your prayer while touching the tree. Allow these natural antennae to amplify your prayer and give it power! Practice: Please, I beg you, go walk through nature and open a connection (that is all your senses!). Take a look around and admire how tall and strong the trees grow. Take a breathe of the clean air and notice how it smells. Run your hand over the leaves or grass and notice how they feel. Rub a bit of dirt between your palms and say thank you for the ground that provides all the nutrients for all this nature that was created just for you! Hear the birds and the rustling of the leaves caused by the cool breeze that is providing the fresh air for all to breathe. See if you can hear any animals rustling around doing their work. Do you see any animals? Are they close? Try speaking to them like their your pets. It may sound silly at first, but notice the reaction you get when you express love outwardly towards nature. Try to imagine how it would taste if you came across your favorite fruit growing wildly amongst the trees! The more time you spend with our wild mother Earth, the more your connection will grow and for goodness sake, take off your shoes and play like a child! 2. Loved Ones Jesus was a great teacher who taught many things, but one thing He said stands above the rest. “Love your neighbor as you love yourself.” Through my journey, I have asked, “How do I possibly do that?” “How do I love my neighbor that I do not like?” “How do I love my neighbor if I fear that I can’t trust them?” “How do I love my neighbor that I do not know?” The “neighbor” can be anyone from a spouse or partner, family member, next-door neighbor, or any of the people in my community at large. My neighbor is the sweet older lady next door who brings me cookies and also the dude that just cut me off in traffic. My neighbor is all my best friends and all the relationships that have gone bad over the years. How do I love everyone? I have this tendency to follow a pattern of relationship to other people. It goes like this: see them, make a connection, like the connection, get to know them, interact with them more, like them more, grow the connection, start to trust them, then I can even start to love them and want them actively in my life. If I did not like the connection, I usually dismissed them at any point in the relational progression. It can no longer be that easy to dismiss others or simply not to like other people because they aren’t vibing with me. I can’t simply choose to have another person in my life or dismiss them entirely because the connection isn’t good for me. I have to get beyond a need for a direct connection with others (or a convenience for myself) before I begin to outwardly express love for my neighbor. I need to start now. But how? As with nature, sometimes the lack of connection can just be a matter of intention. In many instances, I am surrounded by people more than I am surrounded by nature. Whether it be nature or people, do I have any immediate snap judgements about the situation I’m about to enter where I will be with or around people? Whether it is my immediate romantic relationship or I’m in rush hour traffic, there is something I can always do to give my love for others a huge boost. Practice: I will begin by acknowledging a simple truth. All other people are the exact same as me. We all go about our lives looking for something by having experiences. We all want to be happy. Sometimes we get lost and are not happy, but that doesn’t mean that we aren’t always still actively searching for it. I have started by intentionally choosing to love other people whether it serves me or not. I have chosen love. It’s by no means easy, but that why it has to be intentional. I reopen the connection between myself and others by having compassion towards their situation even if I don’t know what it is. What do they need from me? What can I do for them? Sometimes all we can do is quietly pray, “I love you. I want you to be happy.” Yes, that means even towards the guy that just cut me off in traffic. If I have an open disagreement with someone close to me, I can simply say, “I love you. I want you to be happy. What do you need? What can I do for you?” Then I follow through with my selfless intention. This is not easy, but it is necessary. If a direct connection with someone is toxic or unsafe for me, I may need to love them from a distance. Selfless love does not mean putting my own love for myself at risk. Again, this is not always easy, but it is necessary. I choose to dismiss judgement. I choose to express love. And I will set notes around my environment to remind myself to do so just in case I need some encouragement during a difficult situation. 1. Yourself This is the most important obviously because it’s number one! This is a crash course in learning to fall back in love with myself. I’m not talking about narcissism. I’m not talking about egotistical behavior. I’m talking about love, respect, and appreciation for myself. Jesus said, “…as you love yourself?” “How exactly do I love myself?” “Wait a minute, do I even know myself?” “Do I trust myself?” “Do I even like myself?” “Who am I?” “Where do I come from?” “Why am I here?” “Where am I going and what am I doing?” How do you look at yourself in the mirror? Think about that for a second. In my experiences with the mirror in the past, I have felt shame, guilt, disgust, and even hate. I have had incredibly damaging judgement, insulting remarks, and a complete lack of value for my own reflection. Unfortunately, some of these feelings have played out in how I lived my life. Some of my behavior was very damaging to my health, my relationships, and my connection to the world. At one point, I knew I had to do something about it. I was slowly dying in a miserable existence of hell. I knew I had a profound gift to show love to others. I knew I could quickly forgive others and ask for forgiveness from others if I messed up. But what about myself? Could I possibly love myself? Could I possibly forgive myself? Could I possibly except the apology? Could I possibly regain the positive relationship with myself? Could I possibly make that phone call to myself and say, “Hey bro, we need to make things right. It’s important for our life that we love each other again.” Practice: What are my gifts? What am I good at? I’m going to write those down. If there is nothing that I’m good at, I’m going to start working on all these things written in this blog. I’m going to take the next right step towards knowing that I’m good at something. Walking in the woods and hugging a tree could be that thing that I’m the best at! Next, I’m going to make that necessary phone call to myself and have the most important conversation to regain my life. Here’s how I did it: 1. Stand in front of the mirror and make direct eye contact. 2. Take 4 deep breathes in, hold it, slowly let it out, hold it, take another breathe. 3. Maintain eye contact and say, “I’m sorry. Please forgive me for how I’ve treated you.” 4. Maintain eye contact and say, “I accept your apology. Thank you.” 5. Maintain eye contact with yourself and repeat, “I love you,” ten times. Feel it in your heart more and more each time I say it. I cried so hard the first time I did this practice. It was awfully hard to do. After nearly 30 minutes of staring myself in the face, asking forgiveness, accepting forgiveness, saying thank you, and saying I love you with genuine feeling through the tears, I immediately felt a spark of self-respect, self-appreciation, and self-love tremble through my being. I repeat this practice on a regular basis and I can say from direct experience, it has changed my life. It has completely changed how I regularly connect with the world around me. Most importantly, it has dramatically increased the value I have for my life and my purpose here on this planet. I am here to serve others. I am here to play life. I am here to give and experience love. I am here to express my gifts. My existence here on Mother Earth is important. I am a child of the Prime Creator. I am a child of God. I was made in God’s image. He is my father and Love is my mother. I have everything that they bestowed upon me. I deserve to be happy as does everyone else. They are also children of God, the divine Goddess of Love, and Mother Earth. Everything is beautiful and perfect as it is, including me. I am not alone. Spirituality is very diverse and must be taken in context to where an individual is along their journey. Personally, I have been challenged more times about my belief system in the past 17 months than I have been in my entire 39 years of my life. We grow, we adapt, we learn, we fall, we get up, but for certain, we keep doing better.
I once read that Religion is for people who are afraid to go to hell. Spirituality is for the people who have already been there. I carried my religious beliefs throughout my entire life. I professed the name of Christ when it was convenient. Otherwise, I didn't act Christian. I did what the church told me to do and believed what they told me to believe. I looked down on others who did not believe. I lived the fear religion that stated that, although you may not completely understand, you better believe or you'll burn forever after death. I hit my knees when, and only when, things got completely out of control. I walked through hell more than once and it almost took me over completely. However, little did I know it that God (that's what I call the Universal, Unlimited, Prime Creator) was working with me the whole time. Small, magnificent miracles would happen and somehow, I thought, "Well, that's odd. I was actually surprised when God would show up in my life! But yet, I said I believed. With every little miracle, a seed would be planted for future growth. It wasn't until I almost completely destroyed or lost my life with depression, anxiety, and alcohol that I finally woke up and realized all those tiny seeds were ready for Spring. It had been a long, arduous, deadly Winter. It was then that I realized I had been doing it all wrong. I realized that I knew nothing. Absolutely-f**king-nothing! I was a brand new baby crying in the cradle. With that realization, I began clearing my mind of everything I thought I knew. It was a brand new beginning for me. Everything was possible. I shut my mouth and got to work learning everything I could about who I am, why I'm here, where I've been, and where I'm going. First stop on my path, God. I went directly to the source for guidance. I showed up to the door humble and respectful, but with passion in my heart for connection. He (that's how God presented for me) answered the door with so much joy, love, and compassion. My walk with the All Father has been a roller coaster ride of finding and knowing myself, but He's been my companion the entire ride. What we see as ups and downs in life, God sees a beautiful, fun-filled, joyful, adventure ride. I connected with the Source, God, the Almighty, (however you want to call The ALL) mostly through meditation (deep prayer for me at the beginning) and nature. But I was completely open and willing to accept whatever resonated my soul with purpose and goodness. Now, every single day is a brand new rebirth. Every day is a brand new opportunity to discover and rediscover that unlimited creation that God has brought into being. Me. My mission with Poseidon Healing is to share my story and encourage others to dive deeply into their limitless Self. You are a part of God regardless of where you are on your path. The Creator is intertwined throughout your entire being. At any time, we can accept this and improve our lives instantaneously. All we have to do is do the work. The Work is whatever you want it to be. I believe there are many roads to get to the same destination. "Lots of ways to paint a wall," my Chief in the Navy would say. Everyone's path should be respected and honored. That being said, all paths lead towards higher levels of awareness about your purpose here and who you are. The path is not clear. There will be obstacles, slips, trips, and falls. But that's the point of growth. The obstacles don't block the path, they are the path. I want to help people, who like me, found themselves in hell and somehow escaped. If you are passionate towards life improvement, looking for wholeness and wellness, and are willing to do the work, then you are my mission. I want to help you on your adventure to discover all that life has to offer. You are not alone. My mission is to develop Poseidon Healing Center. This will be a charitable organization that will be open doors to anyone looking for holistic health and wellness including physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, social, and professional aspects of our lives. This organization will blossom into a space that will help people reconnect with the natural and supernatural world in order to not just survive this life, but thrive completely. All walks of life are accepted with open arms, judgement free. You just have to be humble, open-minded, and willing to Do The Work. There is a legend that almost nobody remembers.
The story recalls a point in time when humans were created for a purpose. It was a purpose, but it wasn’t to our benefit. It was to the benefit of the ones that created us. They were to us then who we refer to today as God (or gods). Humans were mistreated, abused, and enslaved to do the bidding of the ones who made us in their image to do all the work they did not want to do. Typically, we gathered things of value for them. We didn’t question our life because we were born to it. Death was the only escape. However, there was one God who had compassion for us. He did not want to see his sons and daughters treated like slaves. He could not allow for us to suffer any longer. Against the will of the others, this loving father figure gathered all his sons and daughters and led them away from the hell that had been their reality for so long. For all humans knew, this is why we were created. Suffering and death was all we knew. But now we had a savior. This man or god, who showed love towards his sons and daughter and saved them from hell by guiding them to a new land, was named Poseidon. Then, he was known as Thalin. According to legend, he, Poseidon, was one of the Annunaki. Because he was not originally from the earth as we know it, he possessed great wisdom and power about the universe. He led us across the great waters. He guided us across miles and miles of unknown, sometimes dangerous land. He understood how to take care of us and teach us how to take care of ourselves. He gave us a chance. He understood the storms. He knew about the mountains that burst flames. He showed us how to navigate the waters of the seas. He taught us how to tame horses and bring them into our communities. He taught us agriculture and farming. He was our great teacher. Some of our fellow brothers and sisters made homes along the way and didn’t continue the entire journey with Poseidon. Everyone was free to make their own choices for the first time ever in their life. They started families and communities of their own far away from those who wanted to persecute them. Those who followed Poseidon to the farthest point founded the legendary land of Atlantis. Based on many accounts, including Plato’s, Atlantis was a heaven on earth. It didn’t start that way. However, with Poseidon’s guidance, hard work, and innovation, the land of legend blossomed into a thriving, advanced civilization. Most importantly, they worked together as a community. Unity with each other and connection to mother earth was of utmost importance to their way of life. * Poseidon Healing is birthed from this story and a dream of a world that does not yet fully exist but is entirely possible and evolving right now. We first have to accept that we know nothing. We know nothing but the environment in which we were born. We know nothing except what we’ve been told to know. We know nothing except what we have directly experienced. These direct experiences become our truth as we go through life. However, what is real truth? The world is changing, and we need to move ourselves towards self-control, love, compassion, goodness, unity and wisdom. These concepts and disciplines cannot be taught. They must be discovered inwardly and then expressed outwardly. They are, in essence, truly personal experiences. Otherwise, we will not truly know these jewels of a good existence. Whether this legend is true or not, in the story Poseidon taught us who we are. He taught us why we are here. He showed us where we are going. He helped us understand where we had been. He is a legend, yes, but I think we may all be able to resonate with the story. Freedom is our destination. Freedom is a choice. Freedom is timeless. Freedom is limitless. Freedom is our nature. We must choose to heal ourselves, our communities, and then we can step into our true place on earth as sovereign individuals. Why Poseidon Healing? Because now is the time to start realizing some very important truths about our existence here on earth. I would like to be a part of your journey. I would like you to be a part of mine. Together, we will find freedom. Together, we will realize heaven on earth. You are not alone. It’s been a little while since my last blog entry. To be honest, I’ve been wrestling with myself over what to write. I’ve struggled with when to write. I’ve even been battling over whether I wanted to write anything at all.
It seems like every time I had an inspired idea or felt like I had something to say, the follow-up thought would be, “What’s the point?” Perhaps I was feeling some type of imposter syndrome. “Dude, you got problems too. What makes you think you can help anyone with theirs?” I said. I do have some hurdles still to overcome. Self-doubt being only one of them. But with all the struggles and wins came one very important thing, insight. I think by sharing my experience, I can help others with their own journey of healing. It hasn’t been easy, but it has been fruitful. I call that being alive. For the purpose of this reading, please keep in mind that I am speaking directly about personal “demons” or “darkness”. I believe these terms relate to the concept of the Yin and Yang energies when it comes to the human condition. We all have a light side and a dark side. It’s our universe to explore! All personal forces are guiding us towards the center of the circle to find balance and harmony within our natural space, our bodies, and our environment. We are in control of our lives! I hope that I can guide you towards that truth. To be clear, I am not talking about demons, possession, and dark forces that are outside of our person. The only way that I know the difference is that particular energy’s intention, or fruits. As Jesus said, “By their fruits, ye shall know them.” (Matthew 7:15) I believe we all have the intuition to know the difference if we are paying attention. I do not engage with dark forces or energies except to expel them away from my environment. I use the power in the name of Jesus Christ to command them away. Simple as that. I have heard of other ways of keeping them away, but I’ll leave that for another discussion. The name of Jesus has always been a strong enough weapon for me. We can’t expel our own darkness. It’s a part of us, a balanced half of our being, and it can be very useful to our human experience if we can avoid getting lost or stuck in it. “If you’re going through hell, keep on going. Don’t slow down, if you’re scared don’t show it. You might get our before the devil even knows you’re there.” -Rodney Atkins (artist) -Dave Berg, Annie Tate, Sam Tate (songwriters) Purpose #1 When you’re feeling a “dark” emotion or energy (anger, sadness, etc.), it’s a direction sign, not an affliction. It’s a sign! Remember that scene in “A Christmas Carol” when Scrooge is dealing with the ghost of things yet to come? The ghost was a reaper. It didn’t speak, it just pointed in the direction it wanted Scrooge to look or where it wanted him to go. The reaper is a scary looking figure. Fear can be a huge motivator too so I think if a figure like that was pointed in a particular direction, I would look too. As I recall, in the movie, by the time the ghost of things yet to come showed up, Scrooge was paying attention and actually asking the ghost to show him what he was supposed to see. However, In the beginning of his journey, he did not want to have the experience at all and was resistant! I think sometimes when my demons where trying to show me a direction, all I felt was victimized by the universe. However, when I am able to take responsibility for my reality, I can see that that perceive slight wasn’t an attack on me, but simply good directions. To be clear, I have had moments in my life where I yelled out, “God, why do you hate me?!” Or I blamed the universe for being against me. Truth is, I either passed it off as my reality or blamed something outside of myself for my situation. It was always something else’s fault why I was going through a struggle. Now, when I am going through a tough time, I sit quietly and look for the directional sign. I’ve discovered that I usually see an aspect of my own Yin energy standing there patiently waiting for me to pay attention to the way it is pointing me. And usually, it’s back to the center and back to balance. It was pointing me back to the path I was supposed to be taking in the first place. My lesson: Stop being afraid and pay attention! Purpose #2 Wakey, wakey! It’s your alarm clock speaking! Time to wake up and get some work done! And what a rude awakening it usually has been! I can remember when I’m sleeping so soundly and the alarm clock goes off, I can almost immediately tell if I’m on the right path or not. Let’s see if this sounds familiar. Did you ever roll over and say, “No, not again! I don’t want to get out of bed.” I certainly have. Have you ever been in a particularly unsettling situation you discovered you did not actually want to be in and say, “Oh s*&T! I have to get out of here immediately.” I have been there too and probably more times than I want to admit. It’s like the alarms just start simultaneously going off at the same time and I know for a fact that I’m not on the right path. Perhaps it was a job that I did not want to report to. Perhaps it was a meeting with a person I did not want in my space. Perhaps I woke up somewhere and had the immediate realization that I did not want to remain in that place for another second. Why was I there in the first place? Here was another opportunity for me to either blame some circumstance on my bad situation or wake up to take a deep dive into what I was personally responsible for that had put me in that position. Then the hard part came because I had to do the tough work to get back on track. Sometimes that required a change of work environment. Perhaps it required a change in the people I spent time with. The work has also included getting rid of some clients, friends, or bad habits. I don’t know everything, but what I do know is that when I woke up to these realizations, I looked around and nobody was there to do the work for me. It was entirely up to me. What was I going to do? My lesson: With a little self-awareness (present) and self-reflection (past), I can see where these alarms might pop up in the future. Purpose #3 Drill instructor. Motivator. I can guarantee that when my demons are fed up with my profound ability to stray off track, they can become some scary sons-a-b*&%#es! But you know, I’ve never been pushed to the point where I get hurt or can’t recover. Many different religious traditions say that God will give me challenges, but never to the extent that I can’t handle (1 Corinthians 10:13). That’s an excellent motivational message right there! I can always overcome! I’ve been in some sticky situations before. I’ve been face down in the mud and I can hear them standing over top of me screaming, “You gonna lay there and cry?! Get up and keep pushing! We can’t allow crybabies to join the warriors!” I’ve been in the middle of some dangerous challenges where I found myself beat up, exhausted, and questioning my resolve. I can hear them screaming at me, “You gonna quit now? All you gotta do is climb! All you gotta do is jump! All you gotta do is believe in yourself! Are you really that weak? Warriors need to be strong!” Like I said, they can be scary. Also, for some reason they have a strong, country accent. My experience is that they will always hit the points that are sensitive, but the points that will leave me with a decision. What do I believe about myself? I am left with one answer: I can handle it. Keep going. “By their fruits, ye shall know them.” When it comes to my angels (Yang) and demons (Yin), I can say one thing for sure. They want the best for me. They always help or push me to be a better version of myself. Usually, it’s when I’m resistant to do the work or make a change that they have to start playing hardball with me to get me to move. My lesson: I chose the struggle because of my prior actions. I can see the drill instructors as my enemies who are there screaming at me while I struggle, or I can see them as motivators to keep me moving in the right direction out of the struggle. Purpose #4 Ally. Friend. Counselor. I believe that I’ve gotten to a point in my life where my demons don’t have to play hardball as much. It still happens, but the moments are much less intense and do not last as long. I could say that I’ve come to respect them. I know that if I’m on the wrong path and I have no good reason to be there, they’ll show up. I know that if a trial or struggle arises, before it gets out of hand, I can look to them for direction. And even better, I can ask my guardian angels for a benevolent outcome for the challenge. Therein lies the beauty of the Yin Yang concept. It’s my life after all. Everything in perfect balance and harmony. A perfect work of God. That’s me. That’s you. That’s all of us. “All things work for good for those who love God.” (Romans 8:28) There’s a whole lot of wisdom and information packed perfectly right there in a short piece of the scriptures. ALL THINGS…WORK FOR GOOD…LOVE GOD. I believe God is the creator of all things and therefore a part of all things and all things a part of God. All things have their purpose, work, and place in the universe. Everything is perfect as it is because it's all a part of God. As we are. Sometimes I can’t understand that concept in its entirety because regularly the world seems so out-of-control and downright evil sometimes. But the fact that our life is still perfect as it is remains. The cool thing about it is that that is what makes life such a beautiful mystery and adventure as we uncover the truth and are led towards the ultimate goal: discovering God love. There have been some circumstances where I felt completely out of control of my life. I came across some very thought-provoking material (my favorite!) and it suggested that my demons (or Yin energies) do not work against me. In actuality, it works for me because it’s a part of me. I’m trying to be a bit more open minded than my own dogmatic upbringing, so I put that to the test. I started by taking full responsibility for my life and what’s in it. I was able to center myself in prayer and meditation and ask some important questions. Who am I? What am I doing here? Where am I going? “Ask and ye shall receive.” Says Jesus. (Matthew 7:7) I got the answers I was listening for. “Why does my reality look so dark sometimes? Why do I feel so badly about life sometimes?” The answer that came to me: because you are out of your place in your life. “Where am I supposed to be?” The answer that came to me: The center. If I am anywhere else, I’m out of balance, and my power to co-create my peaceful, harmonic life with God is diminished. My lesson: Stay on track. Stay centered. Trust in God’s perfect creation. Find love in all things. Enjoy my journey! I do have something to say. And now I believe that if it could help only one person, my efforts are worth it. It all starts at one. The time is now. I'm on a quest! I am on a journey to find 100 people who would like to improve their life in some way.
I am looking for 100 people who at some point in their day, they ask themselves, "Who am I? Why am I here?" The 100 monkey project is inspired by the 100 monkey phenomenon and you can read more about that story by clicking here. Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day. Teach a man to fish and he will eat for a lifetime. Why do I need 100 people? I want to change the world. I want to change the course of history. Sounds lofty, I know. But here we go anyway. Let's just say, it's for a good cause! So please join me if you feel that this sounds right for you. All I can say is that this is a RIGHT NOW type of decision. If you are worn out from the way of things and being tired of being sick and tired, you are probably who I am looking for. Cheap. Easy. Fast. If these adjectives describe you or your lifestyle, I'm going to teach you how to change that. If they don't describe your lifestyle, you're in a good position to see results quickly. The hardest part is the first step so I'm going to make this incredibly easy on you to get started. Whether you say you can or can't, you're absolutely right! Step 1. Set a 2 minute timer on your phone and I simply want you to focus on your breathing. Deep inhale into the belly. Control your breathe all the way out. Step 2. Drink clean (Reverse osmosis or distilled water) today. All you need to do is check your water source. Bottled water is usually ok, but the real good stuff isn't the cheapest. If you drink coffee, try switching to a green tea or something different. Black coffee isn't necessarily bad, but the idea is variety. If you drink soda or anything else like that, stop that immediately. If you drink alcohol, please hold off on that for now. Step 3. Each day this week, skip 1 meal per day. This is intentional fasting, but trust me, if done with intention, you will be fine. Don't focus on the hunger you may feel, but focus on the gratitude for food and wellness while you fast. Those are your first steps for now. You can keep going if you like or you can just focus on those things and reference back to this post once you do the first steps for a week. How do you know you can trust what I'm saying? Well for one, it's really straight forward and well researched. Please also do your own research. For two, I have almost two decades of experience with health and wellness coaching. For three, these are the ways I have gone from a complete alcoholic who hated and destroyed my life to someone who does the exact opposite. Ok, enough about me. What are the next steps? Physical Wellness. Every day, find 10 minutes to do some exercise in the comfort of your home. Trust me, you know what to do. YouTube has a vast amount of exercise videos that you can follow. You can't make a wrong decision. Do what sounds cool to you today. If you move with purpose for 10 minutes, you did the right thing. It's that simple. Mental Wellness. Every day, set a 5 minute timer and write down everything you can think of to be thankful for. Write it anywhere. It could be a gratitude journal or a loose sheet of paper lying around. I don't care about that. I just care about the practice. Do this every day. Even if you feel like you don't have it (let's say excess money), I want you to write something like this... "I am thankful for the $5 in my wallet." Or, "I am thankful for my ability to buy the things I need." Give thanks for everything even if you feel like you don't have enough. Focus on whatever you do have. Relationship & Social Wellness. No matter who, what, when, where or why, from now on, recognize everyone that you pass each day as if they are your brother, sister, mother, or father. Honor them and pay some attention to them. Even if it is just a person passing by on the street. And moreover, especially if they live in your house with you. I will emphasize this: Honor and Pay Attention! Nutritional Wellness. We can vastly improve our wellness everyday by fueling our bodies with whole foods. Practically everything is processed in one form or fashion these days, but some foods are obviously worse than others so it's important to know what to eat and when. 1) Eat what you crave. Listen to your body. If it's not communicating properly, drink a full glass of pure water, and then listen again. 2) Eat whole foods. Stay away from anything that is processed too much. 3) Eat fruits, veggies and herbs of every color of the spectrum. Again, listen and pay attention to your body. it will tell you what colors to eat. 4) Fasting is an excellent way to throw your body off of a normal routine. Skip a meal. Or you can fast other things from your life. Have a cellphone free evening or skip your normal coffee. Don't have drinks with your friends once and just stick to soda water and lime. Fasting is a great way to learn something about yourself more deeply. Professional Wellness. Do you love what you do for work? Each one of us has a gift or gifts to offer the world and many of us don't use any of them. Do you know what your gifts are? I've been in jobs that I have hated, but I was still required to fulfill my duties. I identified my gifts and started to apply them to that job and things got exponentially better. What are your skills? Talents? Special abilities? Write them down and start serving your community with them. Spiritual Wellness. Spend alone time with yourself. Set a 10 minute timer and just be by yourself. Excuse yourself from the bustle of the world, your to-do list, and just spend a short time in a quiet place. What do you think about? Write it down. Is it peaceful? Is it chaotic? Try to focus on breathing deeply while your spending time with yourself. Pay attention to your body. I must emphasize that this is different than something you do for yourself such as getting a massage or going to the gym. This is alone time with only you around with as little noise as possible. Getting out into the sun or nature is a great way to spend this time. I wonder how many of us spend any alone time getting to know ourselves. Sexual Wellness. I'll take the Buddha's advice on this one and keep it simple. Do not engage in sexual activity that is mentally, physically, or spiritually unwholesome. Good enough! Rest & Recovery Wellness. Sleep when you are tired. Many of us dose ourselves with caffeine to keep up the pace in life. This isn't a natural way to exist. If you are someone who says, "I can't function without my coffee," then I'm just going to say that any thought like that is not serving your highest good. If you get sleepy in the middle of the day, instead of dosing yourself, simply lay your head back for a minute and shut your eyes. Usually it only takes a few minutes to completely rejuvenate yourself. If you have the luxury of breaking away from the daily routine, go lay somewhere quiet and comfortable, set a 20 minute timer and have a complete reset. It absolutely works! Energy drinks are absolutely terrible for your system. Those beverages should be completely avoided. If you absolutely need a "pick-me-up", try drinking organic fresh squeezed juices. Add some cucumber in there. Or you can try the different teas they have available at different coffee shops. Many of these add a ton of nutritional benefits as well as a small amount of caffeine that won't last long in your system. Rest when you are tired. Simple. As far as the gym, don't forget to take days off or de-load days. If you continuously beat on your body without listening to signs and signals of stress overload, your body will break down and that's defeating the purpose. When your body is tired, rest. Simple. Natural Wellness. Get out into nature. Go for a 5 minute walk if your angry or stressed. Play with your dog. Pay attention to the trees, sand, rocks, mountains, sky and water. This releases incredible endorphins that will increase your wellness in profound ways. If you do it and pay attention to the effects, you'll understand what I mean. Put your feet and hands on the grass or in the sand on a beach for a minute. Get grounded. So many of us are flying through life at incredible speed. Slow down for a second and get bare feet onto the ground. It's an immediate mood shifter! ** I believe that we first have to center ourselves and pay attention to have any significant change in the way life is going right now. In my story, it started with me. I had to get to know myself to understand that I did not like the way life was going in my world. Once I made a real change without telling myself a bunch of excuses, I watched my world begin to change before my eyes. Now I'm on a mission to help others. I hope that you will join me in this project by just following the information that I've laid out. If you have any questions or need any guidance, I'm here for that. Just email me at [email protected] and I'll help any way I'm able. If this message blessed you and you would like to give a blessing in return, my Venmo is @gregwhitejr, cashapp $gregwhitejr, or paypal.me/gregwhitejr. Stop. Think about it. At one point in my life, I believed I was a ninja or a martial artist. I acted that out. I learned about it. I thought about it constantly. Perhaps I only reached a childhood level of that skill, but I still was a young, blossoming martial artist. At one point in my life, I believed I was a football player. I did all the things a football player does and my environment changed into a football oriented one. I was successful to an extent. One time, I believed I could physically overpower a bull. A 900 lbs BULL! I believed I could and so I did. Quite simply, I said, "I am..." And then that reality happened. I have and still do believe that I am a health and wellness professional. I am a healer. I walk the walk and talk the talk. So that's what I do. That's what I think about. That's what I learn about. That's what I act on. I am that. I've believed some bad things too. I believed alcohol was just a part of who I was. I also believed that I was flawed and self-destructive behavior was just who I was. Yikes. Guess what? That happened too. I believed I could hurt people and break hearts. I believed I could do anything regardless of consequences. That happened too. I set my mind upon it. I created the reality. I've got a lot more examples, but the point is that whatever I set my INTENTION upon, that is what happened. What are you setting your intention on? The I in SIMPLE is simply; I am, what I say I am. I am my intention. My environment is my intention. Here are some positive things that I've said, "I am," in my life: Loved Successful Kind Compassionate A good father A good teammate A good partner A good lover Motivated Handsome Loving Smart Intelligent Skillful Talented And others. Here are some negative things that I've said, "I am," in my life: Alcohol The life of the party (not in a good way) A dumbass Making mistakes A victim of circumstance Lazy A rebel A product of divorce Unable Not (insert adjective ie. "good") enough A loser Alone It's simple. I believed it. I created my environment around that belief. No matter which thing I was setting my intention upon, the positive news is that I was simply having a life experience. I was figuring who I like being and who I do not like being. I have the gift of free will so I get to choose the world I want to live in. I have had many life experiences that taught me a lot of important lessons. I believe there is nothing more valuable than our experiences. There is nothing I have that is more valuable than my experience. No material item is worth more than experience. Not money, not cars, not houses, or anything else contains such rich value. Here is where I've gone wrong though. I lived in the past constantly. I defined myself by my past and I kept recreating it in my present and future. Simply, I wasn't learning the lessons, I was reliving them everyday. The magic happened when I realized I could look at the past, learn from it, and say, "I am moving on to a better belief, better choices, and a better life." I stopped criticizing myself about my mistakes and owned them. I wiped off the disgusting qualities of the experience and underneath was a valuable gem that I put in my pocket for future use. The great things I've done and the beautiful experiences were there too. Whether you believe it to be true or not true, you're absolutely right! One phrase I really do not like at all is, "I can't." It's very different than saying, "I won't." I can't do it. You're right. I CAN DO IT! You're right. I don't believe it. You're right. I DO BELIEVE IT! You're right. If you believe you can, but don't know how, learn. If you need a guide, I'm happy to help. There are many guides out there to get you out of the past and into the present. There are many resources out there that can help you start believing in yourself and your ability to create a new reality for yourself without hurting anyone. It's simple. Just say, "I am...," and repeat it until it's your life. If you need someone to talk to, I am here. My email is [email protected] or you can send me a message on my contact page. I offer private consultations if you need that service too. If you've been blessed by this message and would like to return a blessing, my Venmo is @gregwhitejr and Cashapp is $gregwhitejr.
